“I was reminded of my powers and who I was… what better way to kill a comeback than to pop out on a track with one of L.A.’s most lit producers and rapper, G5yve.”
The track also reflects a shift in her creative process. Known for her detailed and lyrical writing style, Machete took a different approach this time — recording through a punch-in method, allowing her to create in real time and tap into raw emotion.
“I spoke what I felt in that moment… we finished the song in a day.”
