Nisha J Drops Bold New Project On To The Next
Los Angeles’ own Nisha J is stepping into a new era with her latest project On To The Next — a body of work that blends raw honesty, bold storytelling, and undeniable energy. The title itself is a statement: moving forward from past trauma, hurt, and doubt, and stepping fully into a space of growth, healing, and self-defined artistry.
“I’m moving on from everything that tried to hold me back,” Nisha explains. “Even with my music, I’m creating my own lane.”
The Sound & The Story
From sultry records like “Stay The Night” to the daring “Sexorcism” and heartfelt “Crush On You,” Nisha J weaves together a tracklist that feels both personal and universal.
“Stay The Night” paints a picture of complicated love and late-night temptation, featuring collaborator Mark Watts.
“Sexorcism” is a bold declaration of desire, created with Jemouri, where Nisha lets her inner freak fly with no filter.
“Crush On You” captures the butterflies of new attraction, inspired by 48 hours of fun and vulnerability that turned into one of the album’s standout records.
Through these songs, Nisha wants fans to know they’re not alone in the ups and downs of relationships — and that moving forward is always possible.
Features That Add Flavor
On To The Next features some heavy-hitting names: Big Sad 1900, Leeky2x, and Ladyyy.
Big Sad 1900 jumped on “Crush On You” after hearing it and instantly connecting with the vibe.
Leeky2x pulled up to a session and knocked out multiple tracks with Nisha, bringing his own energy into the mix.
Ladyyy, a bar-heavy rapper Nisha frequently works with, slid on “Roll Wit It,” adding that extra grit.
“They all brought their own sauce to the project,” Nisha says. “It’s exactly what I was looking for.”
The Boldness of “Sexorcism”
One of the most talked-about tracks, “Sexorcism,” started with a crazy concept in the studio. “I told them I needed a record that described my inner freak,” Nisha laughs. “It’s like performing an exorcism — but instead, I’m bringing out the freak in him.” The result is one of her most daring records yet.
Challenges & Growth
Putting the project together wasn’t easy. “The hardest part was finalizing the songs,” Nisha admits. “I was going through so much emotionally, and every time I recorded something new, I wanted to swap it out. But the money I invested and the process itself pushed me to finish. This time, I created with a purpose.”
The Artwork & Vision
The cover art — an open road stretching forward — came directly from Nisha’s vision. Symbolic and personal, it represents her journey of moving on to better things. “It shows me starting with someone, but eventually moving forward. That’s the whole theme of the project.”
What’s Next for Nisha J
With On To The Next now out, Nisha isn’t slowing down. More visuals and performances are already lined up, and she revealed she has another project completed and ready to drop before the year ends. “It’s definitely on 10,” she says, hinting that the next release will be even bigger.
Nisha J has officially declared it’s On To The Next — and she’s doing it her way.
