Give yourself a little more time each morning or during the day to get things done and you'll start to feel more in control of your life and be a whole lot more effective in all that you do. ~ We all move too fast in our busy lives, that we have forgotten the art of being deliberate, precise and methodical in our thoughts and actions. ~ So much of our stress in modern society is tied to a lack of time and constantly feeling the need to rush and get moving onto the next thing. ~ But when I started @before5am my goal wasn't to speed your life up, but to actually slow you down and force you to be more deliberate and effective by the simple act of giving yourself enough time to get ready, to think clearly and prepare yourself to perform at your highest level. ~ You can automatically lower your anxiety levels and your stress levels by giving yourself more time. And giving yourself more time is usually in your control and just requires a little effort and discipline on your part. ~ You can also simplify your life by doing less, in fact most of you should only be investing your time, energy and personal resources in a few things that you do exceptionally well and discarding most of your other activities and commitments. ~ I know it's not easy trying to juggle everything that's going on in your life and you've got a family and a career and that start up that you're sort of running from the basement. But if you want to be more effective and actually get more things done... slow down just a bit and give yourself more time. ~ The first place to start when it comes to giving yourself more time, is waking up a little earlier and allowing yourself to warm up and prepare for the day ahead... rather than rushing around every morning, doing your make up in the car and eating a protein bar on the go! ~ It's more important to feel in control and be deliberate and effective in all that you do, than to be busy getting lots of insignificant things done. ~ Keep it simple. Give yourself more time and move with purpose and power.
