Tap'N With Lynwood Rapper Fly Hitta Steez

Today we’re Tap’N in with Lynwood rapper and entrepreneur Fly Hitta Steez, with quite the story to tell.

Fly Hitta, why don’t we start by you telling us about your background and how you got where you are today:

Fly Hitta Steez: I came from a broken home and developed a love for music at a young age, from instruments to living the flow of hip hop. I got to where I am now from certain life changing choices I made, and decided to put the right amount of time and energy into something I truly loved doing.

What would you say has been your biggest obstacle in your journey as an artist so far?

Fly Hitta Steez: Really learning the ins and outs of the whole game, from sound clarity to the right type of marketing to push my music.

Have you faced any other challenges, or are there any lessons you’ve learned that really stuck with you?

Fly Hitta Steez: I’ve learned that everybody around you isn’t always proud of you and to shorten that circle up before the unexpected happens.

That’s so true, and a very important lesson. What motivates you and keeps you going?

Fly Hitta Steez: It’s the younger cats I help out that motivates me the most. The more I see them pushing forward and chasing their dreams, the more it pushes me to keep setting a positive example for them.

That’s beautiful and we love to see when people who have learned the game give back to the younger generation. How do you define success?

Fly Hitta Steez: I define success by being able to reflect with the fans of my music, and getting the love from them. It doesn’t have to be the money, it’s all about the recognition for me.

I love it when artists really focus on their fans, that’s beautiful. Tell us about your music, how would you describe your sound? What sets you apart from other artists?

Fly Hitta Steez: I would describe my sound as something more original and unique. Not like the typical bandwagon sound like everybody else is doing with the auto tune to make them sing better lol. What sets me apart is my drive and push. I don’t seek clout like these other typical artists do.

LOL a lot of people are definitely using auto tune these days. What other artists would you compare yourself to?

Fly Hitta Steez: Honestly I don’t even try to compare myself to others. Just to the storytellers in hip hop is all.

Ok, ok, I respect that. If you could work with any other artists, who would it be?

Fly Hitta Steez: Jay-Z, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Jada Kiss, Beanie Seagle, The Game, Snoop Dogg, Mozzy.

Can you tell us what your plans for the future are?

Fly Hitta Steez: Yes, my plans for the future are to build an empire and to inspire the hopeless. You know, show the generation before and after me that there’s hope.

Love to see it! Are you currently working on any projects or music we can look forward to?

Fly Hitta Steez: My next project is due to drop in December called β€œGift To The Streets.” This will be about the events I’m my life that helped change me for the better and what I have to offer out here.

What else do you want people who are new to you to know about you?

Fly Hitta Steez: That I’m something like no other from my hustle to my drive in life to be successful. I show way more then I tell

Alright thank you so much for talking with us. Tell everyone how they can find you and contact you.
